Onieu Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 3, 2026
Onieu is built around privacy, security, user control, and responsible handling of business information.
We understand that users may use Onieu to manage sensitive business information, including customer information, emails, invoices, estimates, contracts, documents, schedules, contacts, project records, communications, and other business data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Onieu may collect, how that information may be used and protected, how access to the platform is controlled, and the rights users maintain over their information.
By accessing or using Onieu, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Private Access and Owner/Admin Approval
Onieu may operate as a private, invitation-based, beta, or limited-access platform.
Submitting a Request Access form does not automatically create an active account and does not automatically give a person permission to use Onieu.
Access may require approval by the authorized Onieu Owner/Admin.
The Owner/Admin may:
- Approve or deny access requests.
- Activate approved accounts.
- Place accounts into limited beta access.
- Suspend or pause accounts when necessary.
- Revoke access for security, misuse, violation of Onieu policies, or other legitimate reasons.
- Manage account-level permissions and platform availability.
Users may not bypass Onieu's approval process, create unauthorized accounts, or gain access through another user's account.
Onieu may use account statuses including:
- Pending
- Approved
- Limited Beta
- Active
- Suspended
- Disabled
Administrative control of an account does not mean that the Owner/Admin has unrestricted access to that user's private business content.
Access to private user information should be limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate Onieu, provide requested support, maintain security, investigate technical problems or misuse, comply with legal obligations, or where the user has authorized access.
2. Account Security
Each approved Onieu user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Onieu is designed so that one user's account should not be able to access another user's private business information.
This includes another user's:
- Customers
- Contacts
- Emails
- Invoices
- Estimates
- Contracts
- Documents
- Uploaded files
- Business records
- Calendar information
- Tasks
- Communications
- Connected account information
Users must not share login credentials with unauthorized persons.
If Onieu detects suspected unauthorized access, account compromise, abuse, security risk, or misuse, access may be temporarily restricted, suspended, or disabled while the issue is investigated.
3. Information Onieu May Collect
Depending on the features a user chooses to use, Onieu may collect or process certain information.

This may include:
- Name
- Email address

Onieu may automatically receive technical information such as:
- Device type
- Browser type
- IP address
- Login activity
- Error information
- Security logs

This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Onieu.
4. Connected Services
Onieu may allow users to voluntarily connect third-party services such as:
- Gmail or other email providers
- Google Calendar
- Contacts
- Cloud storage services
- Accounting platforms
- Payment or financial platforms
- Other business applications
Onieu will request access to connected services only when the user chooses to connect them.
Connecting one service does not automatically authorize Onieu to access unrelated services.
Onieu should request only permissions reasonably necessary to provide the feature requested by the user.
Users may disconnect supported connected services.
5. Google and Gmail User Data
If a user chooses to connect a Google or Gmail account, Onieu may access Google user data only after the user grants permission through Google's authorization process.
Depending on permissions approved by the user, this information may include information necessary to provide email, contact, calendar, or related Onieu functionality.
Onieu will use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing functionality requested by the user.
Onieu will not sell Google user data.
Onieu will not use Google user data for advertising purposes.
Onieu will not transfer Google user data to third parties except where reasonably necessary to:
- Provide or improve requested Onieu functionality.
- Maintain platform and account security.
- Comply with applicable law.
- Work with service providers operating on behalf of Onieu under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Onieu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
6. Nothing Is Sent Without User Approval
A fundamental Onieu principle is:
Nothing gets sent without your approval.
Onieu may assist users in preparing:
- Emails
- Invoices
- Estimates
- Payment reminders
- Customer messages
- Appointments
- Follow-ups
- Business communications
- Other business actions
Preparing an item does not mean that it has been sent.
Where an Onieu feature requires user approval, the prepared action will be presented to the user for review and approval before it is transmitted or completed.
The user remains responsible for reviewing information before approving an action.
7. How Onieu Uses Information
Onieu may use information to:

Onieu does not provide private user business information to advertisers for targeted advertising.

10. Account Separation
Onieu is intended to maintain separation between user accounts.
One user or business should not be able to view another user's or business's private records merely because both use Onieu.
User accounts should be logically separated so authenticated users can access only information associated with their authorized account and permissions.
11. Administrative Access
Onieu personnel, administrators, developers, contractors, service providers, or other technical personnel should not access private user content simply because they have administrative or technical privileges.
Administrative access should be limited to legitimate circumstances such as:
- Technical support requested by a user.
- Security investigations.
- System maintenance.
- Debugging an identified technical issue.
- Preventing fraud or abuse.
- Protecting Onieu or users.

These may include Google, email providers, accounting platforms, payment providers, cloud-storage providers, or other third-party applications.
Onieu is not responsible for independent privacy practices of unaffiliated third-party services.
